Installation instructions for interior doors

General assembly requirements

• The products are to be installed with the final painting finish.
• Products should be installed in wall openings after the bricklaying and painting work has been completed.
• The required relative humidity in the room where Ronkowski internal doors are to be installed is 35 – 60%.
• It is recommended that doors should only be installed using low-pressure polyurethane foam.
• For proper positioning and fixing of the door frame, the opening in the wall should be larger than the outline of the door frame by about 20mm in height and about 30mm in width.

Assembly process

Only frames matching the size of the opening and the thickness of the wall ensure correct installation and quality. In the case of slight differences, a slight shortening of the sash and the vertical frames is permissible.

The assembly proceeds as follows:

• Fixing the frame during installation (all types of door frames).
  After removing the sash from the hinges, set the frame vertically in the door opening, pressing it to the wall surface from the side of the fixed bands or face the wall surface and to the thickness of the wall in double-sided adjustable frames. Using wooden wedges, block the door frame in the upper corners of the wall opening. Check the level of the header and the verticality of the frames, and using wedges and 2 strut strips (one directly on the floor) inserted between the vertical frames, finally set and lock the entire frame (remember to install a soft material at the end of the strut strips to avoid dents on the door frame).
• Checking the functioning of the sash.
  Hang the sash and check the correct functioning. If necessary, make appropriate adjustments in the alignment of the frame of the frame. Slight irregularities in the adhesion of the sash to the seal can be corrected by adjusting the hinge and screwing or unscrewing the hinge from the frame. The clearance between the frame and the hinge should be min. 0.5 mm, max. 2.0 mm. Put on decorative caps after complete installation.
• Final assembly of the frame.
  Introduce mounting foam into the gap between the masonry and the frame of the frame, at least at the height of the struts and upper corners. The correct amount and distribution of mounting foam ensures a permanent and stable fixing of the frame (use the guidelines of the foam manufacturer). For full tightness, it is recommended to introduce mounting foam around the perimeter of the door frame. Remove the struts and wooden wedges after the installation foam has fully cured.
• Note: It is unacceptable to collect excess foam while it is swelling – cut off after it has hardened.
